His Excellency praised the activation of the textile unit, he also thanked its teamwork for their efforts. He mentioned that the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University is one of two faculties among Egyptian universities that enjoys the presence of the Department of Spinning and Weaving Engineering, therefore, he found that it is necessary for the faculty to contribute to the wheel of the state’s economic growth as the Faculty of Engineering, used to be an effective cog in the development of the wheel of the state’s economy. This has been done after the directions of the state, headed by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, in the restoration of the spinning and weaving industry with the state currently establishing the largest, and greatest factory with advanced capabilities in the Middle East in the field of spinning and weaving industry located in the city of Al-Rubiki, which is scheduled to be completed in August 2022. The Faculty of Engineering, must not stand watching what is happening or wait for the invitation to participate in the work and production, but it must volunteer to work forward and positively participate in this field because of the scientific experience we have represented in great professors, the readiness of laboratories and students who are trained in the field as an integral part of the academic study. This is what we have already done, and therefore I must thank Professor Dr. Hamdan Abu Taleb, professor of spinning and textiles industry in the faculty and his teamwork involved in reviving the textile unit namely: Eng. Ahmed Samir, Eng. Muhammad Khudair, and Eng. Elham El-Imam, specialists from Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in Mahalla El-Kubra.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and the initiative of Dr. Abeer Tawakkol, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University.
A workshop on “Fundamentals of Electronics and Robotics” took place on February 14, 2022, in the work space room located in the Specific Programs Building. The workshop will last for seven days, it addresses children from 8 to 16 years old. The activities of the workshop are attractive, interesting and useful.
Instructors involved in teaching are:
Eng. Shorouk Muhammed
Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim
Eng. Sarah Atef Maali
Eng. Enas Ayman El-Sayed
Eng. Omar Ibrahim Al-Sharqawi
Dr. Abeer took into consideration the consolidation of several aspects that the child acquires during and after the completion of the workshop, including; how to learn, how to make use of free time, how to experiment, how to trust themselves, how to create, and how to invent.
It was taken into account to provide a simplified practical explanation of basic tools for modern technology in the field of robotics to develop the skills of analysis, logic and to lay the brick of creative thinking through teaching the robot in order to prepare the child’s mind later to invent things as a result of his prior knowledge and his mental stock of the surrounding. It also refines many of the child’s skills such as; the power of observation and analysis of what he sees with his eyes, he is accustomed to innovation within a work team, which instills in him the spirit of participation and cooperation. In the short term, the child will develop the level of his studies in scientific subjects, which in turn will become more interesting and attractive. Later the child will be motivated to apply in local, regional and international competitions. It is worth noting that during the activities of the first day of the workshop, children were taught to design and implement a simple electrical circuit.
