Mansoura University Faculty of Engineering Hosts Scientific Day for Electronics and Communications Department
Mansoura University’s Faculty of Engineering organized the Scientific Day for the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering on Thursday, December 4, 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen educational processes and connect academic studies with labor market demands. The event unfolded in two sessions: the morning gathering at 10:00 a.m. in Prof. Magdy Abou Rayan Auditorium, and the afternoon session at 1:00 p.m. in Prof. El-Said Ashour Hall.
Activities commenced with Egypt’s national anthem and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the opening address from Prof. Dr. Hala Bahey El-Din, Department Head. She welcomed guests and attendees while underscoring the event’s role in familiarizing students with industry requirements and emerging trends in electronics and communications. Attendees included Prof. Ibrahim El-Kalla, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, alongside key faculty such as Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shaaban, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Yakout, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol (Artificial Intelligence Program Director), Dr. Ahmed Abdullah, Dr. Aya El-Assi, and several assistant lecturers.
Experts and leading companies showcased cutting-edge opportunities through lectures by Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa (Dean, Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Horus University), Eng. Waleed El-Safoury (Head, Wireless Communications, Netova), Eng. Youssef Ragheb (Analog Layout Team Leader, Si-Vision), and Eng. Ahmed Nazmy (Founder, Networkat Academy). The “CyberEgypt” team from third-year students received honors for third place nationwide in the Digitopia Competition’s university cybersecurity category, organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Fourth-year student Nora, the Faculty’s Ideal Student, hosted the program, with organization handled by 2025 graduates and students from all years.
Certificates of appreciation were distributed to guests at the close, accompanied by group photos and widespread acclaim for the organization and content. This initiative highlights the department’s dedication to producing engineers equipped for modern challenges and employment needs.
