A scientific Field Trip by Students from El-Senbellawein Distinguished Language Schools

Under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, and the leadership of Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Faculty of Engineering welcomed a scientific field trip from El-Senbellawein Distinguished Language School on Monday, November 24, 2025.

The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Sherif Massoud El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty, and organized by Prof. Amira Yassin Hekal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. The visit aimed to enhance community awareness of the various engineering disciplines and support pre-university students.

Prof. Amira Y. Hekal welcomed the students and gave them an overview of the academic departments and specific programs offered by the faculty, along with the admission process and scholarships available for outstanding students. She also delivered a lecture on the importance of artificial intelligence in engineering and other fields, introducing the fundamental concepts behind the emergence and growing importance of this discipline.

The faculty team accompanying the visit included:
- Eng. Mohamed El-Maadawy, Department of Electrical Engineering
- Eng. Abeer El-Toukhy, Director of the Laboratories Administration
- Eng. Nermeen Abdel Latif, Supervisor of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory

The supervising team from El-Senbellawein Distinguished Language School consisted of:
- Ms. Eman Ahmed Haridy, Senior Mathematics Teacher
- Ms. Mona Abdel Hamid Mohamed, Social Specialist

During their visit, the students toured several faculty laboratories, including the Artificial Intelligence Lab and the Solar Energy Lab, as per their interests. They also explored various facilities around the campus, including the sports playgrounds used for student activities.

At the end of the visit, Prof. Amira Hekal delivered closing remarks, expressing the faculty’s readiness to welcome similar visits in the future. In return, the school’s supervisors and students expressed their great appreciation for the warm reception and for the valuable information they gained—remarking that the experience surpassed their expectations.
