The Faculty of Engineering Receives a Technical Support Visit from the Excellence and Future Foresight Center Team.

As part of Mansoura University’s plan to entrench a culture of institutional excellence and achieve it both academically and administratively, the Faculty of Engineering continues its pioneering role in strengthening this culture. On Sunday and Monday, October 5 and 6, 2025, the faculty hosted a technical support visit provided by the excellence evaluators from the University’s Center for Excellence and Future Foresight.

This visit was conducted in line with the University’s directives and as part of the faculty’s preparations to participate in the third round of the University Governmental Excellence Award 2025. It aimed to follow up on institutional performance, review progress achieved in development plans, and offer technical consultations that enhance the quality of educational and administrative services, reinforce principles of transparency and governance, and contribute to raising the efficiency of the academic and administrative work system.

The first day of the visit opened with a speech by Prof. Sherif Massoud El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty, followed by the presentation and discussion of several themes, including Egypt’s Vision 2030, main tasks, Seven-Star Services, electronic/smart government, future foresight, and innovation.

On the second day, other key themes were discussed, most notably human capital, asset and resource management, governance, risk management, and business continuity. The program included a field tour inside the faculty before concluding with a comprehensive closing session.

In this context, Prof. Sherif El-Badawy emphasized that the visit represents an important milestone in enhancing the faculty’s capabilities in the field of institutional excellence. He noted that the Faculty of Engineering won first place nationwide in the Governmental Excellence Award in 2022. He added that the faculty intends to build on the gains from this visit to continue adopting leading practices, ensuring the sustainability of development and fulfilling the University’s mission to serve the community locally and regionally.
