Report on: Delta International Language School Visit

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM, the Faculty of Engineering welcomed a group of students from Delta International Language School. Prof. Amira Yassen Heikal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, received the students and welcomed them in the Dr. Al-Saeed Ashour Hall. She provided an overview of the Faculty of Engineering, its departments, and unique programs, highlighting the distinctions between each department or program and how to choose among them. A brief explanation was given on solar energy, its sources, and generation methods, as this was the focus of the visit per the school’s request. The school representatives then presented the Faculty with a shield of appreciation, received by Prof. Amira Yassen Heikal.
The students then visited the Solar Energy Lab for further insights. Prof. Ahmed Eid, a renewable energy expert, welcomed them and explained various topics related to solar, renewable, and sustainable energy. He demonstrated the function of several devices in the lab. Subsequently, accompanied by Abeer El-Toukhy, the lab manager, the students visited other labs, including the Wireless Communications Lab, Biomedical Engineering Lab, Water Quality Control and Research Lab, and Architectural Models Lab, where brief explanations were provided about each lab’s purpose and equipment.
At the end of the visit, the supervisors expressed their gratitude to the Faculty’s administration and organizers. The students’ delighted expressions reflected their appreciation for the valuable information and attention they received.
