Report on the Faculty Council Meeting No. (571)

The Faculty Council No. (571) was held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at exactly ten o’clock in the morning in Prof. Dr. / Al-Saeed Ashour hall, with the application of precautionary reserves, where the council was chaired by Prof. Dr. / Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of the Vice Deans, heads of scientific departments, directors of specific programs and representatives of some institutions of the external community.

The session was opened by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, where His Excellency

⁃ Began the meeting by offering words of welcome to all the attendees.

⁃ Offered condolences to all the Egyptian people for our affliction to our brothers in the fire of the Munira Church, wishing a speedy recovery to all.

⁃ Congratulated faculty members who won the State Encouragement Award, as he congratulated Ass. Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Saeed and Ass. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Jar Al-Alam.

⁃ Congratulated Dr. Ahmed Hazem and Dr. Muhammad Yahya Azab for obtaining the best doctoral dissertation and he also congratulated Eng. Ahmed Nader and Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim for obtaining the best master's thesis.

⁃ Honored heads of the scientific departments for the period of their tenure and their distinguished performance, where he honored: Ass. Prof. Dr. Tharwat Sarhan, for his tenure as Head of the Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering Department, Ass. Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Tantawy during his tenure as Acting Head of the department of Architectural Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hamed on his tenure as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department.

⁃ Congratulated the appointments of the heads of scientific departments and program directors, namely: Prof. Noha Fouda - Head of the Department of Production Engineering and Mechanical Design, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassan Mansour - Head of the Mechanical Power Engineering Department, Prof. Sherif Kishk - Head of the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Prof. Amira Yassin - Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Control Systems, Prof. Muharram Fouad- Head of the Department of Public Works Engineering, Prof. Mohamed El Zogheibi - Head of the Structural Engineering Department, Prof. Reham Mohsen Ezz El Din - Head of the Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Akram El-Metwally - Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Prof. Fawkiya Al-Habibi - Head of the Spinning and Weaving Engineering Department, Prof. Mohamed El-Gamal - Head of the Engineering Mathematics and Physics Department, Prof. Dr. Nihal Fayez - Director of the Communications and Computer Engineering Program, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassan Mansour - Director of the Mechatronics Engineering Program, Prof. Mohamed Moawad - Director of the Biomedical Engineering Program, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ghanem - Director of the Construction and Building Engineering Program, Prof. Sahar Sedky - Director of the Energy Engineering Program Renewable and sustainable, Prof. Dr. Ayman Gomaa - Director of the Digital Training Center, Prof. Dr. Mona Al-Wazir - Director of the Sustainable Architecture Program, Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol - Director of the Medical Engineering Program for Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Iman El-Gendy - Coordinator of the Mechatronics Engineering Program for Graduate Studies.

⁃ Praised topics of graduation projects which presented new executable projects that have a beneficial feasibility for the project owner and the entire community.

⁃ Briefed the audience on the harvest of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies: from 2019 to 2022 as a result of continuous work with sincerity and dedication.
