The Faculty's Research Support Unit held a workshop on applying for the "Step by Step" grant offered by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. The session aimed to introduce the application process for the Academy's program funding master's and doctoral theses.

The workshop took place in Prof. Rashad El-Badrawy’s hall at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026. It was presented by Dr. Mostafa Ahmed El-Bahloul, Director of the Faculty's Research Support Unit, and attended by a large number of assistant faculty members and graduate students.

Key topics included an overview of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and its role in supporting scientific research and funding projects in Egypt. The session then covered details of the "Step by Step" grant, which provides up to EGP 250,000 for master's theses and EGP 350,000 for doctoral theses.

It also explained the basic eligibility requirements, along with a demonstration of the online application system and the detailed steps for uploading data and required documents on the platform.

The workshop wrapped up with practical tips on crafting a strong research plan to boost chances of securing the funding, followed by an open discussion and answers to attendees' questions on various aspects of the program.
