Development of the existing port of EL-ARISH

INTRODUCTION:

 It is believed that with the rapid development of the Egyptian Eastern North Coast, the need of a modern, well equipped harbor arises. The existing port of EL-ARISH is not suitable for the forecasted development of the area. This port is used mainly for handling small sizes of general cargo ships, beside the fishing berths. Investigation must be carried out either to develop the existing port or to build new port at a suitable site.

 

• A NEW PORT AT NORTHERN COAST

• The Egyptian authorities are currently studying the possibilities of developing and rehabilitating the northern coast. The developing program include gas and oil discoveries , fishing activities along northern and other coasts and rehabilitation of one million inhabitant. The northern coast at west Dilta Nile in the present time is clear of any port which is necessary to serve the anticipated trade and fishing activities . A site 15 kilometers west of Rashid Nile branch is suggested for the port needed .

A NEW PORT AT NORTHERN COAST

El-Dabaa

INTRODUCTION:

The Egyptian authorities are currently studying the possibilities of developing and rehabilitating the northern coast. 

The Egyptian government has foucased on developing the Mediterranean Sea coastal region between Marsa Matrouh and Alexandria in order to attract building new communities.

The developing program include new port at site of El-Dabaa to serve fishing activities, commercial and tourism along northern.

El-Dabaa lies at about 110 km from Marsa Matrouh at east and about 185 km from Alexandria at west.

The new El-Dabaa port will be an integral component of Egypt`s plan for economic and social progress and will benefit such endeavors as international trade, inland transportation, industrial development, urban renewal and the creation of new communities.

The construction of the new port of El-Dabaa should be carefully investigated and planned to achieve this goal with affecting the environmental conditions and marine live.

The Egyptian authorities are currently studying the possibilities of developing and rehabilitating Al-Allamen government. The developing program include gas and oil discoveries, fishing activities along northern coast and other coasts and rehabilitation of one million inhabitant.

The developing program include new port at site of Al-Allamein to serve fishing activities, commercial and tourism along northern.

Al-Allamein located on Mediterranean Sea, lies at about 106 km west of Alexandria and 240 Km northwest of Cairo .

The new Al-Allamein port will be an integral component of Egypt`s plan for economic and social progress and will benefit such endeavors as international trade, inland transportation, industrial development, urban renewal and the creation of new communities.

The construction of the new port of Al-Allamein should be carefully investigated and planned to achieve this goal with affecting the environmental conditions and marine live.
